No Dishes to Wash

Yum.  Just Yum.  Pix Patisserie has 2 locations, the original at 34th and Division, and one in NoPo.  These expensive desserts rival Papa Haydn’s, but without the atmosphere. I feel like I’m in a cozy little wine bar.  Because the place is so small, I wonder if the waiters and waitresses are snooty… you know, like discouraging people hanging around.  They even have a rule, $2.50 for every person for every half hour in the evenings when they are full.  Snooty?  I’m not sure….  Our waitress was perfectly nice, and had lots of coffee and water refills at the table for us, she was on top of it. Bathroom Attendant

So after the dark and dreary Blue Monk girls night out, we decided to go for desserts.  We had several ideas, The Pied Cow on Belmont, or NW 23rd to Papa Haydn’s (which would have been the best, probably) but we went with an old standby, Rimsky’s on SE 12th and Alder.  Love this place because it has live classical music almost all the time (sometimes different music too) also open late, and their desserts are well priced and SO good. So I’m really sad when I think a place has so much potential, and just isn’t living up to it.  Take Cooper’s Coffee for instance.  Let me recount the things that have happened to me there….. (more…)
